At this year’s 16th Annual Power of The Purse Luncheon, held April 10th in Nashville, The Ayers Foundation had the privilege of announcing a $1 million donation to benefit The Women’s Fund. The Women’s Fund, an endowment fund within The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, is dedicated to increasing support throughout Middle Tennessee for programs serving women and girls.
“What I love about The Women’s Fund,” said Janet Ayers, President of The Ayers Foundation, “is that it’s not an agency, but rather a collaboration…that ensures a better future for thousands of women in our community. Personally, I have been blessed with strong female role models in my own family, and I know the power of women helping women. So I am especially pleased to be able to lend our support to the Women’s Fund.”
The Women’s Fund missions include promoting the self-sufficiency of Tennessee’s women and girls, promoting their health and wellness, as well as addressing important women’s issues, such as violence prevention and empowerment.
