Position: The Ayers Foundation Scholars Program Counselor Location: Clinton High School- Clinton, MO

 

Job Summary:

Plans, directs, and coordinates administration of The Ayers Scholars Program for the benefit of students graduating from Clinton High School. The Ayers Scholars Program at Clinton High School is a proud member of rootEd Alliance, a philanthropic initiative to clear a path to a stronger future for rural students. This role necessitates the ability to see the “big picture” to best meet the needs of the students and the shared mission of the Ayers Foundation and rootEd Alliance.

 

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and duties of the College Access Counselor may include but are not limited to: meeting with each student and family individually to indentify needs to enter or remain in post-secondary education, work with post-secondary institutions on the behalf of the students, help students find and apply for all forms of financial aid, and maintain a high level of pride in work and accepts responsibilities for actions and decisions. The College Access Counselor will also be responsible for providing ongoing services to students and their families throughout postsecondary to ensure completion.

 

Education and/or Experience:

Masters degree or higher; Masters degree with concentration in School Counseling or related field. Five years of counseling experience preferred.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of database management, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Salesforce, Internet and email.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents for administration of financial assistance and applications for post-secondary institutions. Ability to maintain database of statistical foundation information. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, parents/guardians, and educational institutions effectively.

 

Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form.

 

Compensation:

Salary will be similar to Clinton High School pay scale. Benefits include: insurance, 401K, paid holidays, vacation, personal, and sick time. Position is full-time, 12 months.

 

Position: The Ayers Foundation Scholars Program Executive Assistant Location: Parsons, TN

 

Job Summary:

Plans, directs, and coordinates daily operations for The Ayers Foundation Scholars Program.

The primary duty and responsibility of the Executive Assistant is to assist and support the Director of The Ayers Foundation Scholars Program. This role necessitates the ability to see the “big picture” to best meet the needs of the Ayers Foundation.

 

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and duties of the Foundation Executive Assistant may include but are not limited to: assisting the Director with accounting, human resources, event planning, scheduling, assisting in daily office needs, managing our company’s general administrative activities, and maintain a high level of pride in work and accepts responsibilities for actions and decisions.

 

 

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required. 3-5 years’ experience in office administration, human resources, or accounting preferred.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of database management, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Word, Internet and email.

 

Language Skills:

Must have exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents, manuals, instructions, and contracts. Able to talk to others and convey information effectively. Able to communicate clearly and efficiently.

 

Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to comprehend, react, and respond in stressful situations. Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong and develop a workable solution.

 

Compensation:
