Job Description
The Ayers Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and visionary Scholars Alumni Coordinator to lead and enhance the Come Home Tennessee initiative in Parsons, Tennessee, while also overseeing the Ayers Entrepreneur Center and all entrepreneur programming. The Scholars Alumni Coordinator will play a crucial role in fostering a strong connection between the Trust, its scholars and the wider community of scholar alumni. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, a passion for supporting education and community development, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage entrepreneurial initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage alumni, encouraging their active participation in Trust initiatives and events
  • Manage all operations, programming and initiatives of the Ayers Entrepreneur Center, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the community. This includes workshops, mentoring, startup incubation, coworking and networking.
  • Keep alumni informed through newsletters, social media, and in-person interactions about Foundation activities, employment opportunities, and coworking involvement. 
  • Cultivate relationships with Scholars Program alumni and the community to build a robust network that facilitates collaboration, mentorship, and resource-sharing.
  • Organize alumni-focused events (reunions, workshops, seminars, and networking) to create a sense of community and meaningful engagement opportunities.
  • Develop and manage initiatives supporting aspiring entrepreneurs to collaborate in Foundation programs, projects and fundraising efforts with other Trust teams and partners.  
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of alumni contacts, engagement and feedback to track progress, identify trends and inform future strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for alumni and entrepreneurs to collaborate in Foundation programs, projects, and fundraising efforts.
  • Assist in identifying and engaging potential donors within the alumni and entrepreneurial communities to support fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of benefits and services for alumni ensuring ongoing value from their affiliation with the Trust.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; graduate degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in alumni relations, community engagement, or related roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in entrepreneurship, startup incubation or related initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including social media platforms, CRM systems, and event management tools.
  • A passion for education, community development and philanthropy.
  • Ayers Foundation Trust Alumni preferred
