The Ayers Foundation is a Tennessee Promise Partnering Organization


Students graduating high school in 2015 and after are eligible for the Tennessee Promise Scholarship. To remain eligible, students must complete 8 hours of community service each year.

Completion grants are available for Ayers Foundation students who live in Tennessee and are experiencing issues meeting any of the following needs:

    Steps to Participate

Step 1: Apply to be a TN Promise Scholar by November 1st, 2021

Step 2: File your FAFSA by March 1st, 2022

      • Your Ayers Counselor can assist you and your family with the application process.

Step 3: Attend a mandatory meeting with your Mentor in the Fall and Spring semester

      • Your Ayers Counselor located in your high school serves as your TN Promise Mentor. Meetings are held with each student individually and can be scheduled in-person or virtually.
      • Students are not limited to one mandatory meeting, and can meet with their Ayers Counselor as many times as necessary.

Step 4: Apply to a Tennessee Promise College

Step 5: Complete and Submit Community Service by July 1st, 2022 for the Fall Semester
